Absolutely Negative Productions, LLC is a NYC-based media and production company specializing in independent film development and production, as well as brand-elevating commercial content.

Absolutely Negative was founded by Sebastian Kim—an actor, writer, director, and producer whose creative journey began with making Spike-Jonze-inspired home movies and acting in professional stage productions and TV commercials as a child actor.

 

Sebastian is a former assistant to Oscar-winning producer Anthony Katagas and was an Associate Producer of the feature film Armageddon Time, which was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. 

 

Since working with Katagas, Sebastian has continued honing his craft and creativity behind and in front of the camera—receiving several awards and nominations on the festival circuit for his acting, directing, and screenwriting. His upcoming work includes Transaction Cancelled, a narrative short film he wrote, directed, and stars in, as well as a feature-length documentary about the world’s most famous canine artist. 

 

When he’s not working, Sebastian can often be found dancing at Jonathan Toubin’s New York Night Train or observing the gorillas at the Bronx Zoo.
